I know this photo is about five years old(Kate Spade), but I think of it often because it reminds me of Bisbee and our family trips to Douglas, AZ. There is a hidden beauty to the barren desert. I am a girl who was surrounded by cactus most of my upbringing, so when thinking of flowers in my youth the saguaro or barrel cactus is what comes to mind.

Last week at the Farmers Market I bought S a cactus flower. Cactus really can be beautiful and with it contains a clean, sophisticated look. You heard it is here first, this is going to be the year of the cacti.
I've just gotten into succulents, I think they are so chic! I've got a grouping going, and it's so low maintenance... I hardly water.
