As of late I have been reading a novel in which the setting is in France and reading Mom blogs with families set in Frane. I think what seems to be so attractive are the long meals with thoughtfully cared for preparation. Not to mention the thought of a fantastic glass of wine in the middle of the day, yes please! I have been romantasizing this way of life and dreaming of a small parish to serve when Jake and I retire someday, wouldn't France just be lovely.
I guess the good lord wanted to encourage the fantasy by giving me the good fortune to have a long lunch with a friend(plus she took ME to lunch). We had a beautiful lunch in Eataly. We wondered around and selected the fish section, great choice. In Lauren fashion we began with a few goodies, oysters and giant scallops. What I love most is the serving size is not to much. It was just enough for a taste. We then enjoyed our beautiful fish, beets, and razor clams. What a lovely meal.
When I went to pick Sophia up from school she an I shared a dark chocolate gelato, oh perfect day! I think I would be happy not to eat on more morsal the rest of the day.
Pura Vida!
