I love this fresh look. IF you have no budget or a neighbor with flowers and you scissors, you too can have this look. I always say keep it simple, subtle, and natural when it comes to flowers. I remember my first Valentines has a married person, my dear and truly thoughtful husband ordered me a gigantic bouquet of flowers from some shop. They pulled all the tricks, lots of filler(babies breath, carnation, and un-identifiable greens) and in the end the beautiful flowers were hidden and very few. I think he spent 75 dollars, yikes!!!! So, like I said keep it simple. Remember too, if you are ordering from a florist be specific. I sent a friend peonies once. I said I want ten stems of peonies in brown paper wrapped. They came just in that fashion and were deeply loved. Just my too bits!!! Readers what are your flower stories????

Every time I order flowers from somewhere I make them SWEAR not to put in fillers. Somehow, however, they always creep in. It's like the arrangers can't help themselves!
ReplyDeleteYou should open a flower shop, Mel! Can you imagine the amazing bouquets people would receive from your shop . . .
