A friend emailed asking what to do with flowers that died overnight. Well, I had a run in once with the flower Scabiosas(unfortunate name)in the summer for a wedding. The best thing to do is always trim the ends of your flowers before placing them in water, cut the stems at an angle then place them in your vase.
In the case of the dead overnight flower, I would submerge them in a bowl of cool water and then pat dry with paper towel. This happened with the scabiosa wedding. I received the flowers friday and then saturday morning my husband woke me up screaming the flowers are all dead. I submerged them imediately and then pat dy them and fortunately they all came back to life. It is worth a try!!
Love the image of Jake screaming that the flowers are dead! And yes, why did they ever name a flower Scabiosa?
